Art and Music Lessons

Private Lessons

Schedules are approximate and subject to change depending on COVID-19 and other factors. Please contact the studio for more definitive times and days available. Students in the studio are required to mask by county order and we have sanitization and distancing procedures in place until further notice.

Art Lessons: Remote lessons and lessons in the studio are currently available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Students learn a variety of foundational media and design techniques, then progress to more advanced topics. Many of our students become professional artists and designers and some of our young students are working professionally illustrating books while learning at our studio.

Clarinet and Saxophone: Remote lesson times are available most days, except Sunday and Wednesday. Lessons in the studio are currently available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Students progress through the Essential Elements books used by area schools with supplemental material by the teacher. Students also learn basic music theory.

Drums:

Lessons in the studio are available after 4:00 and remote lessons are available Tuesday and Saturday. Other times may be available. Students start with basic drum patterns and progress to advanced playing.

Guitar Lessons: Remote lesson times are available most days, except Sunday and Wednesday. Lessons in the studio are currently available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The student will learn basics, including reading standard music notation, then progress to classical guitar and a variety of other styles. Bass students progress fo.

Piano Lessons: Remote lesson times are available most days, except Sunday. Lessons in the studio are currently available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Beginner to advanced piano with a focus on proper technique.

Technology Lessons: Remote, private and semi-private lessons are avaialble for C, C++, HTML, PHP, and Python. The student music have his or her own computer with any requisite software installed.

Voice Lessons:

Voice lessons are currently remote only. Various times and days are available. Students from beginner to advanced in both classical and modern vocal techniques.

Lesson Scheduling

The typical lesson is scheduled at a regular time and day on a recurring basis and is approximately one half hour in length. Art lessons may also include an extra cleanup time of about 15 minutes where the student and teacher clean the workspace after the lesson.

Missed Lessons

Because everyone is different in their scheduling needs, the studio leaves any makeup lessons between the teacher and the student. Each teacher has his or her own policies and the studio requests a reasonable amount of flexibility. All makeup lessons are available at the teacher's availability and discretion.
